To transform a vocational high school into a composite academic secondary school, an evaluation of the existing facility was undertaken to identify building upgrade requirements and functional planning challenges. A series of phased renovations and additions were designed and built over a ten-year period in a user-occupied facility. While each phase provided for a specific functional requirement, the phases were designed to be complimentary, allowing the sum of the parts to provide a cohesive whole.
