Loretto College School replaces an historic downtown Catholic girls high school for a student population of 600. Designed to minimize impact on the urban site, the small floor plate is vertically integrated on three levels around the Student Forum Atrium. The Atrium is surrounded by visually-open classrooms, student amenities, administration and teacher/community resources. The sloped site has been utilized to advantage for both internal and external circulation. The building provides a comforting level of security, as well as a sense of drama in a nurturing, academic environment.
