To create a brighter and more open lobby, an enclosed exit stair was removed and replaced by an open-riser steel stair with a glass guard. Ceiling heights are maximized and slot lighting provides visual contrast to the long, narrow space. The existing marble walls and stainless steel elevator doors were retained to maintain the quality of the original space.

On the exterior, the existing two-storey granite cladding and stainless steel windows were retained. A stainless steel cornice was introduced to maintain focus on this area and to contextualize the building. Custom light fixtures were designed to highlight these materials.
